A source close to the couple told MailOnline: ‘Millie and Liam are over the moon.

‘They have been searching for a place they can call home since winning Love Island and finally now they won’t have to commute hours to see each other.

‘It’s a big step but they see this as a new chapter and are excited to make the property their own.’

Essex-born Millie and Liam, who’s from Wales, toasted to their new home with a bottle of champagne, while Love Island stars Liberty Poole, 22, and Chloe Burrows, 26, congratulated them on the big move.

Millie and Liam beat Love Island runners-up Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran, Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, and Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank to the title this summer.

It wasn’t smooth sailing for the couple after Liam played away with Casa Amor Islander Lillie Haynes during the show’s big twist.

After growing close to Lillie and enjoying a three-way kiss during his stay in the rival villa, Liam came grovelling back to Millie, who eventually forgave him.

On Instagram, Liam said today: ‘The best feeling getting the keys to our new place.

‘It’s been so hard packing up and leaving my family and friends. But I’m now onto a new chapter with my girl and couldn’t be happier. Time to turn a house into a home.’
