    Married At First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson reveal hospital nightmare as their newborn twins are exposed to Covid in the NICU ward


    Bryce Ruthven and  Melissa Rawson’s twins have been in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) since they were born 10 weeks premature on October 16. 

    There was horror news for the Married At First Sight couple this week, after their boys were exposed to Covid-19 in the NICU. 

    Sharing video to Instagram Stories, Melissa shared the scary experience while filming her sons in their high tech cribs.

    ‘A Covid case in the twins NICU ward,’ a worried Melissa captioned the clips. 

    ‘Tate and Levi are all good but quite worrying until they both came back negative – they’re both in 14 days isolation so no cuddles today for the boys’. 

    In a further post, Melissa and Bryce posed with face masks on and explained they too were tested.

    Melissa went on: 'We also decided to get Covid tested because we've been visiting Tate and Levi daily and didn't want to risk anything we came back negative and don't have to isolate like the twins do'

    The MAFS couple were overjoyed when they welcomed their twin boys, Levi and Tate, last month. 

    ‘On October 16th, 2021, our lives changed forever. Our beautiful twin boys, Levi and Tate Ruthven entered this world 10 weeks earlier than expected,’ Melissa wrote.

    ‘Our love for them is greater than anything we could have ever imagined and while these next 9 weeks are going to be agony as the battle their way through NICU and SCN, I cannot wait for that moment where they are in my arms on their way home.’  

    Melissa and Bryce surprised fans in July when they announced they were expecting twins and are engaged to be married. 

    The pair met and fell in love when they were paired on Married At First Sight last year.
