‘Awkward 12-year-old me was a joke!’ Maya Jama shares series of hilarious throwback snaps as a teenager as she poses with family and friends
She’s a glamorous TV star who always exudes confidence in social media snaps.
But Maya Jama proved she’s just like the rest of us as she shared a series of ‘awkward’ teenage throwback pictures to her Instagram on Sunday night.
The presenter, 26, posed in the selection of pictures with family and friends which she explained she had been sent by her mother.

In several she wore a white cardigan and jeans as she looked at the camera dubiously while stood next to her brother Omar.
In another she posed on a bed in a purple T-shirt while in a separate snap she appeared to make a grimacing face.
She captioned the funny post: ‘My mum just sent me these & looool awkward 11/12 year old me was joke!’

It comes after Maya recently took her relationship with NBA basketball star Ben Simmons public.
He appeared on her Instagram story earlier this month, as the pair playfully larked about with each other.
Ben could be seen pulling Maya in closer to him and affectionately covering her face with his hand.

The couple were also seen kissing in the stands at Wimbledon, as they stopped by the annual tennis tournament earlier this month.
Maya and Ben were first romantically linked in June, after they were seen together on a night out at restaurant Sexy Fish in London.
Ben previously dated Kendall Jenner, 25, but the pair called things off in May 2019 after months of dating on-and-off.
Maya, meanwhile, dated rapper Stormzy for four years, with the pair splitting the same year – ending their relationship in order to focus on their careers instead.
