Meghan dons 'inappropriate' shoes she wasn't allowed as royal – but she 'looks amazing'

The Duchess of Sussex doesn’t have to follow royal rules anymore since she and Prince Harry are no longer working members of the Royal Family.

For royal women, however, there are three types of shoes that break royal protocol.

“Open-toed shoes are considered informal footwear and inappropriate for formal occasions,” etiquette expert William Hanson previously told Harpers Bazaar.

Wedges are also not appropriate for official engagements although some royals such as Kate, Princess of Wales, or Sophie, Countess of Wessex, are often seen wearing these for casual events.
