Melania Trump was White House's own 'Marie Antoinette' writes former chief of staff

Stephanie Grisham is moving away from the shadows as she is about to publish a new book that is already considered an international bombshell. In I’ll Take Your Questions Now: What I Saw in the Trump White House, to be released next month, the former press secretary gives her side of the story and attacks Trump, Mrs Trump, Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law and chief adviser, and Mark Meadows, Trump’s final chief of staff.

Her book was announced last week through a scoop from Axios who quoted a source close to Grisham saying she “knows where all the bodies are buried because she buried a lot of them herself … [she] has receipts … she was a press person and it was her job to make sure she knew what was happening”.

After receiving exclusive access to parts of the books, Politico wrote today that Stephanie Grisham does not shy away from criticizing Melania Trump to the extent that she compares her to Marie Antoinette.

The first lady was like “the doomed French queen”, Grisham reportedly writes. “Dismissive. Defeated. Detached.”

Grisham is remembered for being the only White House press secretary who never held a press briefing and moved from Donald Trump’s team to Melania’s.

Grisham remembers texting Melania Trump on January 6th regarding what was happening at the Capitol: “Do you want to tweet that peaceful protests are the right of every American, but there is no place for lawlessness and violence?” and receiving a single “No” a minute later.

As reported by Grisham, the first lady was more concerned with setting up a photo shoot for a rug at the time.

She writes that’s when she decided to resign as chief of staff.

Back in October 2020, another former senior adviser to Melania Trump published a book uncovering what went behind the scenes within the First Lady’s team.

An audio conversation recorded by Stephanie Winston Wolkoff and broadcasted on CNN even went viral as Melania was heard complaining about having to deal with “Christmas stuff” while people kept asking her about children who were separated from their parents at the border.

“I’m working … my a** off on the Christmas stuff, that you know, who gives a f*** about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?”

She continued, “OK, and then I do it and I say that I’m working on Christmas and planning for the Christmas and they said, ‘Oh, what about the children that they were separated?’ Give me a f** break. Where they were saying anything when Obama did that?”

Right after the election in November 2020, Stephanie Grisham also says when she tried to inquire about the traditional inauguration tea Melania was supposed to host for the wife of president-elect Joe Biden, FLOTUS did not want to have anything to do with it.

Melania Trump reportedly told Grisham “something bad happened” and did not listen when her aide tried to explain there was no wide-scale electoral fraud.

Another unnamed former White House aide told Axios: “There isn’t enough water on earth to contain the fire she could set to all of Trumpworld, including parts like the first lady’s orbit.

“It’s hard to articulate how much anxiety this is going to cause.”

Contacted by Politico, Melania Trump’s spokesperson labelled Grisham’s book as “mistruth and betrayal” from someone who “seeks to gain relevance and money at the expense of Mrs. Trump.”
