    New Kids On The Block announces Mixtape 2022 tour alongside Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Astley and En Vogue


    New Kids on the Block announced that they are headed back on tour in 2022. 

    The group went on The Kelly Clarkson Show to announce their tour alongside Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue who will join them for what they are dubbing the Mixtape 2022. 

    Rick Astley will also join the groups for all of the shows though he did not appear with them to make the announcement.

    NKOTB performed their song Step by Step while Salt-N-Pepa performed Whatta Man along with En Vogue on the program. Kelly Clarkson joined Salt-N-Pepa and En Vogue to sing Whatta Man.  

    They finished off their performance by coming together to sing Hangin’ Tough.  

    The groups will play more than 50 shows from May to July of next year in cities ranging from Los Angeles to Washington D.C.

    Donnie Wahlberg said the group’s big motivation to go back on tour is the fans.  

    ‘We have the craziest and best and most amazing fans on the face of the earth,’ the 52-year-old said. ‘And we’re really anxious to get back to them.’ 

    NKOTB last toured in 2019 on their Mixtape 2019 tour. Salt-N-Pepa accompanied the group on that tour along with hip hop trio Naughty by Nature and Debbie and Tiffany Gibson.

    The boy band also took to Twitter to announce the news after their appearance on the show. 

    Part of the caption of the tweet read, ‘Getting that confetti ready because we’re coming to a stage near you in 2022!! We’re bringin’ our friends @TheSaltNPepa, @rickastley and @EnVogueMusic along for the ride.’ 

    Tickets for the tour go on sale for the general public on Friday, October 8, at 11 a.m.
