New plans may stop locals from parking outside their houses in 'massive knock-on effect'

    North East Lincolnshire Council are looking at putting a cycleway at the junction of Peaks Parkway and Bargate in Grimsby. However, the new lane will be placed on their road, affecting access to parking near properties.

    “The idea is to put double yellow lines along the road, but that will mean nearly 200 residents will have to park elsewhere in places like Welholme Avenue.

    “However, these streets are already quite congested and there are two schools in the area as well.”

    He confirmed there had been some form of consultation with locals over the new scheme.

    However, he still feels the plans were “very vague”.
