He’s been enjoying more downtime after resigning from Good Morning Britain earlier this year.

And over the weekend, Piers Morgan, 56, sang and danced during a boozy family reunion as he threw a lavish party at his home in Newick, East Sussex for his step-dad Glynne’s 80th birthday.

In videos posted to social media, the TV personality was amid a group huddle out in the garden, kicking his legs up high while belting out a Frank Sinatra classic.

Piers’ biological father Eamonn O’Meara died when the presenter was just a baby, and Glynne became his step-dad after marrying Piers’ mum Gabrielle.

During the sun-soaked birthday bash, Piers posed with eldest son Spencer as they stood either side of Glynne, holding up glasses of champagne.

Sharing the snap to Instagram he wrote: ‘Three generations of trouble. Happy 80th Dad!’

Elsewhere during the event, Piers was videoed losing an arm-wrestling match to his youngest son Stanley, much to the TV host’s dismay.

But the former GMB star was soon cheered up by a facetime from footballer friend Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah.

Piers had a feast laid out for guests, with chicken, sausages, pasta, potatoes and salad to munch on, while tables were full of wine, beer and champagne.

His son Spencer also showed off the family’s plush swimming pool and outhouse, and made sure to note the soaring 35 degree temperatures.

The family reunion comes after Piers claimed that ITV want him to return to Good Morning Britain after his bombshell exit from the show back in March.

The presenter quit the breakfast show following his comments about Meghan Markle and subsequent onscreen clash with co-star Alex Beresford.

On Saturday, he said bosses have ‘reached out’ about a possible return and that he believes he could ‘take the ratings back to where I left them’ after a slump in viewing figures.

He told The Sun: ‘They reached out — there have been approaches. Never say never.  I have no doubt I could take the ratings back to where I left them — but the doubt is, would anyone be allowed to do it that way again?

‘I was hired to give very strong, honestly held opinions, which I did. But in the end I was asked to apologise for a genuinely held opinion.’

He added: ‘I have had some quite random third-party feelers put out to see if I would consider a return to the show.’

The broadcaster also said he would ‘seriously consider’ going back if he could ‘rip it all up’ and ‘do it my way’, adding that he wished to produce and present the show.

Piers also told the publication that ITV had not offered him therapy since his exit and that he still hasn’t heard from Alex after their row sparked him walking off.

ITV has been contacted by MailOnline for a comment.
