Pip Edwards says she felt ‘confused and conflicted’ as a working single mother in her younger years – as rumours swirl she’s back together with cricketer Michael Clarke

Pip Edwards has spoken out about the challenges of being a single working mother in her earlier years in a new podcast interview.

The P.E Nation creator – who shares her 15-year-old son Justice with her ex-partner Dan Single – admitted that she couldn’t help but feel judged when trying to balance work and family life from the age of 27.

Speaking to Tory Archbold on the Powerful Stories podcast, the entrepreneur, now 41, said: ‘I felt confused, I felt conflicted.

‘I don’t know – I know I’ve achieved what I’ve wanted to. My son has a great education, a roof over his head. He’s got a beautiful extended family.

‘I just know there are other mothers out there – whatever the judgment is – and how hard it is on the other side, too.’

Pip, whose activewear line is renowned worldwide since its creation in 2016, went on to say that her teenage son ‘understands’ her work ethic, and says her openness has ensured their relationship is stronger than ever.

‘I’ve taken him on the journey. I work a lot, I work long hours, I work hard. He sees that. He knows why, and he sees the results, and he knows that I do it on my own,’ she added.

‘I’m super vocal and communicate about that. Which some people probably disagree, but he’s very aware of everything that goes on, and I like that. Now he’s 15, there’s no questions.’

She continued: ‘As long as he’s okay, he’s happy, he’s healthy, he’s sorted. He’s got a structure around him that he’s safe with, I can come and go, tap in and out. He understands.’

Pip is currently believed to be single, yet has fuelled rumours in recent days that she could be back together with her on/off boyfriend, Michael Clarke.

The duo have been spotted on multiple occasions around Sydney in recent days, after it was confirmed that she had ended her brief relationship with restaurateur Cameron Northway.

Before dating Cameron, Pip had been in a high-profile relationship with the former cricket captain for about a year.

They amicably split in February, according to sources close to the couple.

When contacted about her split from the batsman, Pip told Daily Mail Australia at the time: ‘I have no comment, no comment at all.’

Pip and Michael’s relationship began in June 2020, following his split from wife Kyly Clark (née Boldy), which they had announced four months earlier.

He and Pip had been friends for more than a decade before that, but grew close while working on a fashion project together.
