Prince Andrew’s sex accuser could testify about him at Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial, court documents have revealed.
The original photograph showing the Duke of York with his arm around Virginia Giuffre’s waist at Maxwell’s home in 2001 has been requested.
Ms Giuffre’s lawyer Sigrid McCawley revealed in court documents that Maxwell’s team want access to original copies of various photographs, reported The Sun.
It is thought Ms Giuffre, 37, who currently lives in Australia with her husband and three children, could give evidence alongside victims Maria and Annie Farmer.
Ms McCawley said: ‘There’s simply no reason why if the Farmers and Ms Giuffre ultimately testify and these items prove to be relevant and admissable these items cannot be provided for inspection at trial.’
It comes after new criminal charges against Maxwell renewed pressure on Prince Andrew because they fall within the time frame that he was meeting paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Prince Andrew leaves his home in the grounds of Windsor Castle as his friend Ghislaine Maxwell was charged with more offences in the US
Until now, British socialite Maxwell has been charged with grooming underage girls for, and then abusing them with, Epstein between 1994 and 1997 – before the Duke of York knew the former Wall Street financier.
But a new indictment filed in New York this week, where Maxwell is locked up on remand awaiting trial, adds allegations relating to a victim who says she was abused between 2001 and 2004, when Andrew was in contact with Epstein.
The accusations do not relate to Andrew, who is not a party in the criminal proceedings or the subject of any criminal investigation, but US authorities want to speak to him as a potential witness. The duke said he first met Epstein in 1999 and saw him ‘once or twice a year’ before ending the friendship in 2010.

According to a new indictment, Maxwell paid the girl hundreds of dollars to give Jeffrey Epstein sexual massages and even sent her lingerie

Lawyers for Epstein’s victims want the duke to end an 18-month deadlock and open up to the FBI about his friendship with the paedophile.
Lisa Bloom, who represents eight victims, said: ‘As this now covers the time period when [Andrew] was so friendly with Maxwell and Epstein, it is all the more imperative that he live up to his promises and speak to investigators immediately about everything he knows.’
The duke has been accused of sleeping with one of Epstein’s teenage ‘sex slaves’, Virginia Roberts, in 2001, allegations he has emphatically and continuously denied.
Andrew previously said: ‘At no stage during the limited time I spent with him [Epstein] did I see, witness or suspect any behaviour of the sort that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction.’
The new accuser, referred to a Minor Victim-4, allegedly met Maxwell at Epstein’s Palm Beach home when she was around 14
The indictment also reveals that prosecutors intend to seize Maxwell’s assets if she is convicted – during a bail application she revealed that she and her husband Scott Borgerson are worth $22.5million. The couple are pictured in 2013
In an interview with the BBC in November 2019, he said he would cooperate with the FBI’s investigation into Epstein, who killed himself that August in jail. But the two sides have hit an impasse.
The duke’s lawyers, however, said reports of his refusal to cooperate were ‘inaccurate’ and he had offered to assist the US Department of Justice ‘on at least three occasions’ last year. Maxwell, 59, now faces seven charges relating to four women, rather than three, including two of sex trafficking.
The new indictment claims that from 2001 to 2004, Maxwell trafficked a girl who she first met when she was 14 and groomed her for abuse. She allegedly interacted with the girl on ‘multiple’ occasions even though she knew she was underage.
Maxwell has denied the previous allegations but has yet to respond to the additional charges. Her brother Ian Maxwell said the new indictment ‘does not strengthen the government’s case’.
Prince Andrew’s friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his girlfriend Ghislaine
1999 – Andrew first meets Epstein, reportedly introduced through his friendship with Ghislaine Maxwell, the daughter of newspaper tycoon Robert Maxwell.
Andrew welcomes Epstein to the Queen’s private Scottish retreat in Aberdeenshire. Andrew later says he sees Epstein ‘infrequently’, adding ‘probably no more than only once or twice a year’.
2000 – Andrew and Ms Maxwell are seen on holiday with Epstein at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida.
Epstein and Ms Maxwell attend a party at Windsor Castle hosted by the Queen to mark Andrew’s 40th birthday, the Princess Royal’s 50th, the Queen Mother’s 100th and Princess Margaret’s 70th.
2001 – Virginia Roberts claims to have had sex with Andrew ‘three times, including one orgy’, with the first encounter allegedly taking place in Ms Maxwell’s London townhouse. Ms Roberts claims to have had sex with Andrew on two more occasions, at Epstein’s New York home and at an ‘orgy’ on his private island in the Caribbean.
2008 – Epstein admits prostituting minors and is sentenced to 18 months in prison.
2010 – Epstein is released from jail. Andrew is photographed with the disgraced Epstein in New York’s Central Park.
Footage emerges years later, reportedly shot on December 6 2010, showing him inside Epstein’s Manhattan mansion, from where he is seen looking out from a large door.
2011 – The duke quits his role as UK trade envoy after the fallout from the Central Park photos.
2015 – Buckingham Palace denies Andrew has committed any impropriety after he is named in US court documents related to Epstein. A woman, later named in reports as Ms Roberts, alleges in papers filed in Florida that she was forced to have sex with Andrew when she was 17, which is under the age of consent in the state.
In April the claims against Andrew are struck from US civil court records following a federal judge’s ruling.
2019 – Epstein is found dead in his jail cell on August 10, having killed himself after being charged with sex trafficking.
2020 – Ghislaine Maxwell is found in New Hampshire and arrested
Maxwell was charged with enticement of minors, sex trafficking of children, and perjury on July 14, 2020
2021 – Ghislaine Maxwell was hit with two new charges over her alleged role in paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of underage girls.
The allegations increase the time period of the criminal allegations against Maxwell to between 1994 and ‘at least’ 2004. Previously it was until 1997.
