Prince Harry defended for wanting ‘openness’ by Bell
The Duke of Sussex stepped down as a senior member of the Royal Family last year and moved to California with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their son Archie. Over recent weeks, the Sussexes’ popularity has plummeted after they opened up about their alleged rifts with the Royal Family.
But Harry is also damaging his reputation in the US after questioning the First Amendment and dubbed it “bonkers”.
Now, Dr Tessa Dunlop has said Harry’s revelations will have a lasting impact on the Firm’s relationship with the US.
She told Mailplus’ Palace Confidential podcast: “He’s just trying to explain why he’s where he’s at at the moment at this curious crossroads in a foreign country with a foreign wife feeling a little bit vulnerable.
“He’s doing some mansplaining and a lot of people are listening because he happens to be Prince Harry, married to Meghan.

“What is the point of a Royal Family if it doesn’t have a brand abroad?
“And when I say abroad, one of the biggest brands our Royal Family had was its popularity stateside.
“So if our Royal Family’s only speaking now to little England, what’s the point of it?”
Richard Eden, the Daily Mail’s Saturday Diary Editor, added how Harry is not “necessarily being adored around the world”.

He added how more and more people are “uneasy” with Harry’s continuing attacks on his family.
Dr Dunlop then replied: “Oh come on, Harry’s driven a stake through the royals’ relationship with America. He has.”
While appearing on the Armchair Expert podcast last month, Harry seemed to criticise the First Amendment – the right to free speech.
He said: “I’ve got so much I want to say about the First Amendment as I sort of understand it, but it is bonkers.

“I don’t want to start going down the First Amendment route because that’s a huge subject and one which I don’t understand because I’ve only been here a short time.
“But, you can find a loophole in anything.
“You can capitalise or exploit what’s not said rather than uphold what is said.”
The Duke faced backlash from Americans who lashed out at Harry with many claiming he can “get the hell out of America”.

In the UK, Harry and Meghan have faced renewed calls to have their titles removed following several explosive claims about their time in the Firm.
In their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, Meghan claimed she was suicidal during her time as a member of the Firm.
Meghan also claimed there were conversations about the colour of Archie’s skin before he was born.
During the interview, Harry claimed his father, Prince Charles, cut him off financially and stopped returning his calls when he moved to California.

In a new documentary series, called ‘The Me You Can’t See’, Harry opened up about his experiences with mental health.
The Duke of Sussex has used his platform to speak “his truth” about his time as a member of the Royal Family.
In the documentary, Harry claimed his suffering goes back to the “same people, the same business model and the same industry”.
