The Duke of Cambridge is said to be “very shocked” at the recent allegations made by his younger brother. According to experts, Harry’s claims have had a “damaging effect” on William. The Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle have given a series of interviews that detailed their experiences during their time in the Royal Family. Harry said Meghan encouraged him to seek help to deal with his childhood trauma, however royal expert Katie Nicholl debunked these claims by stating that the Duke of Sussex had previously said William was the one who gave him support. However, the Duke of Cambridge has also had his fair share of debunked claims.

In 2002, Prince William explained: “I was called shy because I put my head down so much when I was in public.

“It was never because I was shy.

“It was a really naive thing that I hadn’t picked up on.

“I know it’s silly and that everyone will laugh at it.

“But I thought that, when I was in public, if I kept my head down, then I wouldn’t be photographed so much.

“Therefore, I thought, people wouldn’t know what I looked like so I could go about doing my own thing – which, of course, frankly was never going to work.”

Diana, Princess of Wales was called “Shy Di,” due to her timid gestures when she first joined the Firm.

According to experts, Diana would always look up from beneath her fringe which became her global signature look.

When William was a teen he would look up from underneath his fringe – without his mother’s sentiments.

In his book ‘William’s Princess’ royal expert, Robert Jobson supported William’s claims as he further explains the contrast between the Duke of Cambridge and his mother’s mannerisms.

Mr Jobson wrote: “The shyness that many commentators and royal observers detected in him was, according to some of William’s school friends, a winning trait when it came to attracting girls.

“In many ways, William the Bashful’ was a person he invented; a very effective cover for a boy who was growing in confidence daily.

Today, tensions between William and Harry have been increasing despite Kate’s attempt to bring healing between them.

Reports of a rift were noticeable in 2018, when William, Kate, Harry and Meghan were out on a stroll in Sandringham.

It is here that William appeared to ignore Meghan.

He was said to have had some concerns about his younger brother’s relationship as he thought that the couple were moving way ahead of themselves.

The Duchess of Cambridge and William dated for eight years before he proposed to her.

They married a year later and their courtship was encouraged by the Royal Family as they were trying to avoid repeating past mistakes.

Prince Charles was having an affair with Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall prior to meeting Diana.

They married in 1981, but Charles continued to have relations with Camilla.

He and Camilla’s relationship contributed to the couple’s divorce in 1996 and when asked about her marriage to the Prince of Wales, Diana described her marriage being “rather crowded,” because “there were three of us”.
