Psychic Sally Morgan returned to work on Monday night, two months on from her husband John’s death from coronavirus aged 74.

The star, 71, launched her latest book Secret Spirit at the famous Blacks Private Members Club in Soho, where she was flanked by star guests including Fazer from N Dubz, Jo Wood, Gary Cockerill and Phill Turner.

Her beaming appearance came after the TV star broke news of John’s death in an Instagram post in September alongside a black and white photo of her beloved husband of 46 years.

Sally looked happy to be out and about at the event as she beamed while clutching her new book and rubbing shoulders with fellow guests.

A host of stars turned out to support the star including the rapper, Jo, the make-up artist and his husband alongside her CBB co-star Ben Jardine.

Married At First Sight star Ben was showing a black eye as he headed into the venue where he posed with Sally alongside a host of other guests.

Sally looked typically glam for the event as she wore her trademark glasses with a black and white ensemble to pose with stacks of books.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star had told earlier this month how John – a former greengrocer who worked as her manager until 2014 – had been secretly battling an aggressive illness and was critically ill.

On September 17, Sally wrote: ‘As you may have noticed my wonderful husband John has been absent from social media recently. Many of you have been asking if he is OK, so I wanted to be transparent and give you an update.

‘He has been rather unwell of late and is currently in hospital. He is receiving the best care from our wonderful NHS and I would like to personally thank everyone at East Surrey Hospital for their continued hard work, love and support. I feel truly blessed that John is in such great hands.

‘After much consideration and at John’s request my tour will be going ahead and continuing as normal.

‘The support I have been receiving both online and on the road has kept me buoyant and allowed me to keep going in such a tough time.’

‘I know I haven’t been as present on my lives the the last few weeks and I hope this goes some way to explaining that. I am still here and will jump online as much as possible but please bear with me while I navigate this.

‘Sending you all so much love. From Myself, John and the entire Morgan family.’

However, Sally later updated fans and said she had not been able to visit John in hospital for three weeks and that his family would be ‘feel so lucky’ if he made it home for Christmas.

John is survived by their two children, Rebecca and Fern.

Sally is best known for doing psychic readings on daytime TV shows like This Morning and was a Celebrity Big Brother 2018 finalist.

Shirlie Kemp shared her condolences beneath the post, writing: ‘Oh no Sally I’m so so sorry … your lovely John your hearts must be broken, sending you much much love and big hugs.’

Christine McGuinness added: ‘Sending all my love, my heart breaks for you Sally. Your John was a true gent, such a lovely man. Prayers and thoughts with you and your family.’

Sally is also known for her incredible 16.5 stone weight loss journey.

She began her transformation more than a decade ago after tipping the scales at 27 stone in 2009 when she underwent a gastric bypass.

The operation proved a success, as she dropped from a size 32 to a size 12/14.

Speaking previously to MailOnline about her weight loss surgery, Sally said: ‘I had a little heart attack. And if I hadn’t have lost weight… my cardiologist said you must have surgery otherwise you’ll die’, Sally explained.

‘I was very happy at 27 stone because I love food!’ she said. ‘I married someone who always loved me no matter what size and I never had a problem with the physical side of my marriage, it never hindered that. The only thing it impeded was my life.

‘People loved me when I was big. So much so that people would come to the show and go ‘oh you’re not the same’ And I am exactly the same.

‘I always say to them, ‘but I’m alive. I’ve got grandchildren and I want to see them grow up, go to university and hopefully have babies’. Which I wouldn’t have done had I remained 27 stone. That cardiologist saved my life.’

Sally divided viewers during her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018.

She was criticised for her ‘rude’ treatment of fellow housemate Hardeep Singh Kohli, who she berated for walking around the house shirtless.

However she was praised by viewers for standing up to Roxanne Pallett during ‘punchgate’.

Roxanne falsely accused Ryan Thomas of being violent with her on the show in what was the most complained about TV story of the decade.

Sally has also appeared in a number of her own TV shows, such as Sally Morgan: Star Psychic and The Psychic Life of Sally Morgan.
