Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie doesn’t do a very good job at travelling incognito as he lands at Sydney Airport wearing a purple ‘Lachy’ hat
Lachlan Gillespie has broken the first rule of going incognito: don’t wear a hat with your name on it.
The Purple Wiggle, 35, was spotted at Sydney Airport’s arrivals terminal on Tuesday as he attempted to leave the building unnoticed – despite wearing a purple hat emblazoned with his own nickname ‘Lachy’.
Dragging his luggage through the building, the children’s entertainer did his best to fly under the radar by wearing an unassuming ensemble and covering his face with a black mask.

Lachlan also kept a phone pressed to his ear as he made his way to the exit.
Unfortunately, any attempts at avoiding attention were ultimately in vain.
While Lachlan seemed rushed as he left the airport, the star is certainly in no rush to walk down the aisle with his fiancée Dana Stephensen.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential in January, Lachlan said the couple are simply too busy to think about planning a wedding.
‘We haven’t even talked about it,’ said father-of-two, who became engaged to Dana in April last year.
He continued: ‘Maybe when everything settles down but at the moment it is just too full on.’

Lachlan and Dana surprised everyone when they announced the arrival of their twin daughters Lulu and Lottie in an Instagram post back in September.
He shared a photo of his newborn daughters resting with their mother Dana, as he looked on lovingly.
He wrote in the caption: ‘Oh Lulu and Lottie, your mummy and daddy love you with all we have – you are both so beautiful – and I would love to sing to you both forever’.
Neither Lachlan nor Dana gave any hint they were expecting, and their social media accounts did not show many recent photos.
