Queen backs Kate hours after duchess royal work dwarfed by Meghan and Prince Harry

The Royal Family, the official Twitter account of the Queen and all senior royals without their own social media handle, shared this morning a tweet published yesterday by Kate and William. The original message from Kensington Palace focused on Kate’s first royal visit since the summer break.

The Duchess of Cambridge headed yesterday to RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire to hear more from people who took part in Operation Pitting.

However, her visit came as US Time magazine shared the news Meghan and Prince Harry had made it to its Most Influential List for 2021 and would be on one of the seven front covers celebrating it.

In the September 27th issue, to be released on newsstands tomorrow, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stun in three pictures and are praised for their charity work by Chef José Andrés, founder of World Central Kitchen – one of the Archewell Foundation’s partners.

By retweeting Kensington Palace’s post focused on the royal visit, the Queen’s Twitter account helped shift back the attention of the public on Kate’s work.
