Sutton Stracke cried after claiming to Crystal Kung Minkoff that she doesn’t ‘see color’ on Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.

The emotional moment occurred as Crystal, 38, and Sutton, 50, continued their discussion over recognizing and understanding racial stereotypes during the season 11 episode titled Sutton’s Gotta Give.

The housewives were staying at Airbnb Luxe: Sherman Estate in Lake Tahoe, but hunkered down in one of the home’s side kitchen with Kyle Richards, 52, to discuss discrimination.

When Sutton told Crystal that she had been a victim of discrimination, Crystal told her she found it hard to believe.

‘Are you one of those women who don’t see color?,’ asked Crystal. ‘Are you that girl?’

Sutton defended herself and started to cry as she said ‘I really don’t see color. I don’t see race.’

Shortly after she added that she considered the word ‘racists a virus, worse than COVID.’

Crystal in her confessional did believe Sutton was being honest, but noted that a white person like Sutton saying that they don’t see color ‘is like brushing it under the rug.’

She also claimed that Sutton’s attitude toward race of ‘not seeing it’ was outdated.

Kyle said since Garcelle Beauvais, 54, confronted her in last week’s episode about spreading harmful stereotypes about black women that she has laid in bed at night thinking about that conversation.

When Kyle asked Crystal for her thoughts, she said ‘I think we can agree to disagree.’

Crystal then moved to end the conversation and said it was late, at that point after midnight.

By the next morning the mood had lightened and the woman, over breakfast, discussed Kathy Hilton, 62, and her bizarre behavior during the evening.

Sutton recalled that Kathy went into her room carrying her pillows. Kyle said she was unable to sleep because Kathy was sitting up in their bed reading 16 newspapers, drinking a RedBull and eating chips.

Lisa Rinna, 57, had planned a bicycle ride for the day.

Garcelle said she would be fine with skipping the bike ride and staying in the cabin to learn the results of the US presidential election.

At this point, Lisa shared her assessment of then-President Donald Trump.

Lisa said she appeared on his show ‘The Apprentice’ twice and that he had always been ‘really professional and never did anything horrible to me.’

She also added that she strongly disliked the person he became after the show.

Lisa said in her confessional that Trump actually fired her twice on that show.

‘I never imagined in a million, trillion years that a reality TV star would become the president of the United States,’ she said. ‘No I did not see that coming.’

Before the women headed out on their bike ride, Sutton went to Crystal’s room to clear the air about the previous night.

Sutton told her she took offense to her comment that she didn’t see color.

‘It wasn’t very nice, ‘ Sutton told Crystal. ‘That’s insulting.’

Crystal told her that was confusing when she said she can’t see color.

‘You look at a box of crayons and see color,’ she said.

Crystal said she had previously been on the other side of racism.

In her confessional, Crystal recounted an incident that occurred when she was 10 or 11 when she was riding in the back seat of her father’s car when a man approached them screaming ‘get out of my country. You are taking all our money.’

Crystal cried when she remembered how scared that made her father and how he drove off without saying a word to her about the verbal assault.

After Sutton and Crystal’s discussion on stereotypes, Crystal told her that she really appreciated Sutton coming to her and clearing the air as they reconciled and hugged.

Afterwards all the women except for Kathy, who told Kylie to leave her alone so she could sleep, boarded Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans to go on a rail bike tour of the V & T railway on four-seater motor-assisted, pedal rail bikes.

After the adventure, during the limo ride back to the house Sutton and Crystal sat in the back row together and shared stories about their families.

Crystal told Sutton that her father died three and half years ago after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Sutton shocked Crystal by telling her that her father committed suicide, which was difficult for her mother who is a psychotherapist.

In her confessional, Sutton cried saying that her father’s death 18-years ago due to depression and mental illness was still painful. She said that after learning that Crystal also lost her father she felt a closer bond with her.

When they returned to the house, Kathy told them she mistakenly had just put ear drops in her eyes. Kyle also pointed out that she had spilled coffee on her shirt.

As the women sat outside enjoying the spectacular view of Lake Tahoe, the discussion turned to Kathy’s daughter Paris Hilton.

Kylie said she had the same bone structure as Paris and Garcelle shared that Paris had recently come on her show and was ‘sort of using her real voice now.’

‘I think she is more confident now,’ said Kathy. ‘I think she is more at peace.’

Garcelle said Paris ‘used to drive me nuts. I used to see her at fashion shows and parties and she was always on her phone. And I always thought, why are you here?’

Kathy and Kyle explained to her that Paris was just using her phone as a defense mechanism because she was so shy.

Kyle later said in her confessional that she was glad she had already patched things up with Garcelle or else she would have taken offense to her ‘judging another one of her family members.’

By evening, the women changed to go out to eat. Wearing their masks, the women went out to dinner and were excited to be eating inside at a restaurant.

Sutton told Lisa at the restaurant that she was excited for her lip beauty line. Lisa said that due to Covid that it has been hard to get her makeup line launched. Sutton changed the conversation and recounted how the previous night she had an intense ‘race conversation’ with Crystal and Kyle and that it made her very upset.

She asked Erika Jayne, 49, if she ever felt as a Southern woman the pressure to prove ‘that we are not racist?’

Erika responded point blank ‘no.’

Dorit said she didn’t think of herself or of Erika as being perceived or judged as being Southerners because they have lived in worlds that are very multicultural. Sutton took offense to Erika’s comments.

‘I’m not from some hick town that I just left three days ago,’ Sutton said in a confessional.

When she learned of Sutton’s reaction, Garcelle told the other housewives that Sutton was ‘a little touchy.’ She said she didn’t know what was going on with Sutton, but that things appeared to be hitting her hard.

Kathy tried to liven the mood by encouraging the rest of the housewives to down their martini’s in one gulp calling it ‘bottom’s up.’

After Kathy and Dorit downed theirs, Lisa and Erika agreed to join them in the next round.

The rounds turned out to be one of Kathy’s pranks as it was later revealed her cocktail glasses were only water with olives to look like martini’s. After Kathy included Dorit in on her plan, she decided to secretly key in Erika and Lisa to turn the prank around on Kathy.

Sutton felt left out that she had not been made aware of the prank and broke down crying when the woman returned home and said ‘I don’t want to do this. I really don’t.’

‘You are so uptight, relax,’ Crystal said exasperatedly to Sutton. ‘Dude it’s a f***ing joke about water and vodka.’

Crystal added in her confessional that Sutton was ‘highly insecure’.

‘If it’s not about her or she is not included she thinks that she is someone the victim of something. She should win an Oscar for being a drama queen,’ Crystal said.

Sutton confronted all the housewives and told them that it was not nice that she was not in on the joke.

When Crystal told her she was being ridiculous, Sutton took offense. Crystal then stormed out of the room and said ‘there is no moving forward. I’m done. ‘

She also said in her confessional that Sutton was proving to her ‘that she is the kind of person that I thought she was last night.’
