RHOM: Jackie Gillies says Erika Jayne needs to apologise to 'victims'

Real Housewives of Melbourne star Jackie Gillies has taken a swipe at fellow Housewife Erika Jayne over her estranged husband Tom Girardi’s embezzlement scandal.

The 41-year-old said on her Shine It Up podcast that Erika, 50, should have been more apologetic towards Girardi’s alleged victims at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion.

‘I still feel there should be more of an apology from her about the victims and more said about those victims,’ Jackie said.

The psychic medium also said Erika should ‘sell off’ all of her jewellery and then give the money to the alleged victims.

Jackie went on to say she believes Erika ‘knew something was amiss’ regarding Girardi’s finances.

‘Maybe she didn’t know the ins and outs, but she definitely knew that something wasn’t right,’ she said.

It comes after the explosive four-part Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion aired.

Erika cried while talking about her estranged husband during the fourth and final reunion episode earlier this month.

The reality star was grilled for most of the show by host Andy Cohen, 53, about the embezzlement scandal surrounding disgraced lawyer Girardi, 82, who has been accused of stealing millions from clients.

When Andy asked her how she felt about Girardi being in assisted living, she broke down and wiped away tears as she told the audience she just hopes that he is ‘safe’.

Erika continued to defend herself against any suggestion she knew about Girardi’s alleged dealings, and said if she had known about the allegations against him she wouldn’t be on a reality show.

She said: ‘Lets be clear here. I wouldn’t [be on the show] because you can’t hide s**t like this. This is not some master plan. This is not Erika being some financial f**king mastermind. This is a tragic sequence of events that are completely terrible.’

Andy’s first question of the night was whether the other housewives believed Erika when she said she didn’t know about Girardi’s business dealings.

Lisa Rinna, Sutton Stracke and Kyle Richards all said they never questioned that.

One viewer then asked Erika when she realised Girardi was having money problems. She said it when one of her cards was declined on Broadway in 2020.

Andy asked the housewives if anyone had been aware that Girardi was having money trouble. Kyle said she had but that Andy knew as much as she did.

Andy said they had both heard from the same person a few years ago that he was in financial trouble.

Erika asked him why he didn’t come to her and Andy said ‘it didn’t register’.

Erika filed for divorce from Girardi in November 2020 and they were both named as defendants in a federal lawsuit filed in December 2020 alleging they stole settlement funds meant for the families, including widows and orphans, of the victims of the 2018 Lion Air plane crash.

The once powerful Los Angeles lawyer also had been the subject of numerous bar complaints alleging financial malfeasance involving millions of dollars owed to clients, including female cancer victims and a burn victim.

A documentary on their legal troubles titled The Housewife and the Hustler was released in June on Hulu.

Erika is now filming the upcoming twelfth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
