Romelu Lukaku 'asks Inter Milan to agree Chelsea transfer' as Blues prepare third bid

Romelu Lukaku has told Inter Milan to accept a ‘suitable’ offer for his services from Chelsea this summer, according to reports. The Blues are preparing a third bid to re-sign the 28-year-old striker after being pushed back twice already in the current transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Lukaku has requested that Inter allow him to complete a return to Chelsea if the club’s third offer is reasonable.

Chelsea’s latest bid was worth £85million plus left-back Marcos Alonso, but the Serie A champions have been holding out a higher fee for their star man.

Sky Sports report an offer of between £94m and £102m should convince Inter chairman Steven Zhang to let his most prized asset leave.

The Blues are determined to provide Thomas Tuchel with a new world-class striker after his sensational start to life as manager.
