He’s been evading the spotlight for months since moving Down Under with his family.

And Sacha Baron Cohen found a unique way to avoid having his photo taken while interacting with fans last week.

The British comedian, 49, was shopping at his local grocery store in Sydney’s eastern suburbs when a male fan approached him for a photo.

In a Facebook post uncovered by Emerald City, the fan uploaded a photo of a piece of paper with childlike lettering that read: ‘Alex, I like sex. Borat.’

‘Just met Sacha Baron Cohen at Parisi’s and he said no photos please but I can sign something,’ the fan wrote.

Arguably one of Sacha’s most beloved alter egos, Borat is a Kazakh television journalist who holds outrageous and backward views about politics and social standards.

The satirical character is known for his use of vulgar behaviour in inappropriate settings.

The funnyman dressed as his original alter ego Ali G and left fans stunned reprised the iconic character, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Sacha reportedly performed at two comedy showcases, with each set lasting for 20 minutes.

An audience member said everyone was required to put their phone in ‘locked pouches’ before Sacha came on stage – presumably to prevent the performance being leaked online.

Ali G was the comedy persona that launched Sacha on the path to stardom.

The satirical character debuted on British TV program The 11 O’Clock Show in the late ’90s, before later appearing in the self-titled spin-off Da Ali G Show in 2000.

Sacha reprised his iconic role in the film Ali G Indahouse in 2002.

Sacha is currently living in Sydney with his wife, Australian actress Isla Fisher, and their three children.
