Sam Burgess spends time with his daughter Poppy during Sydney's lockdown

He shares his two children with his ex-wife Phoebe Burgess.

And on Sunday, Sam Burgess was every inch the doting dad as he spent quality time with his daughter Poppy, four.

The 32-year-old former NRL star shared a video to Instagram of his daughter drawing an image and writing her name.

In the video, Poppy writes her name while her dad can be heard encouraging her in the background.

Sam shares Poppy and his son Billy, twoo, with his ex Phoebe.

The pair separated in September 2019, and legally divorced in December last year.

The Burgesses had initially separated in December 2018 – shortly after the birth of their son – but reconciled in April 2019, only to end things for good months later.

Phoebe is said to have walked away with 70 per cent of the couple’s marital wealth, including Sam’s F45 gym franchise, which she has since sold.

The former journalist, who now promotes herself as a brand ambassador, also kept a $100,000 Range Rover, which she is regularly seen driving around Bowral.

While Phoebe recovered in Bowral, Sam was embroiled in a series of legal woes following the breakdown of his marriage.

He was recently cleared on appeal of intimidating his ex-father-in-law, Mitch Hooke.

Sam also escaped conviction for driving with cocaine in his system while on his way to pick up his two young children in the Southern Highlands.
