The stars were out in force as they celebrated spring carnival on Saturday.

Samantha Armytage stunned in a chic blue frock as she posed on the red carpet alongside husband Richard Lavender for Sydney’s Golden Eagle Day, while Olympia Valance showed off her incredible figure in a waist-cinching black gown for Melbourne’s Derby Day. 

Also cutting an elegant figure for Golden Eagle Day was racing royalty and fashion journalist Kate Waterhouse who donned a one-shoulder pink and orange frock.

She styled her signature blonde locks out underneath a chic black fascinator, and opted for glamorous makeup consisting including a flawless complexion, kohl-lined eyes, lashings of mascara and a matte nude lip. 

The journalist put on an affectionate display with husband Richard Lavender, who she married last year, with the businessman looking polished in a tailored navy suit, a light blue dress shirt, a pink tie and brown dress shoes.
