Shane Warne confirms that his upcoming Bollywood biopic has been put on hold due to the pandemic

Shane Warne’s highly-anticipated Bollywood biopic has been put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

‘I think hopefully by the end of the year or early next year we’ll pick it up again and see what’s going on,’ he told news.com.au.

The 51-year-old also said that he’s looking to some of Hollywood’s biggest A-listers to portray him, like Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio.

Warnie previously explained to the publication that the biopic was being done ‘Hollywood style’, but for the Indian market.

‘A guy has written a script about it, this company want to shoot it, so it’s basically a Hollywood movie shot for India,’ he explained in 2019.

‘And they’re basing it on my story of how we put together the Royals in 2008 and they’ve ‘Hollywood-ised’ it. It’s all sorts of sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll stuff.’

Outside of the movies, Shane has a longstanding partnership with Advanced Hair Studio.

Last month, the retired cricket great was back at work with the leading hair-loss clinic, filming an advertisement for the brand.

The 51-year-old shared a behind-the-scenes clip on Instagram of himself on set.

The Spin King looked confident in front of the camera as he spruiked the benefits of Advanced Hair Studio’s treatments for male hair loss.

He donned a casual ensemble for the advert, opting for a navy bomber jacket over a white shirt and matching trousers.

Shane’s commercial shoot comes after he spoke last year about his impact on breaking down the stigma surrounding hair transplants.

‘I think I have helped so it is cool to do it rather than that stigma of being known as the guy who has had his hair done,’ he told Confidential.

‘It is not like the ’60s when people used to stick on the toupee and people would take the micky because they could tell.

‘It is not like that anymore.’

Shane, a longtime ambassador for Advanced Hair Studio, said he was once very self-conscious about his thinning hair.

‘I would go out and keep putting my hand there or touching it or I would wear a hat because I didn’t like it,’ he said.

Shane retired from cricket in 2007 and is now a commentator for the sport.

He is also father to three children, daughters Brooke, 24, and Summer, 19, and son Jackson, 21, whom he shares with ex-wife Simone Callahan.
