The Spice Girls have missed out on making millions after having to postpone plans for their reunion gigs.

After delighting fans with their classic hits and going on tour around the UK in 2019, the girlband – consisting of Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Mel B and Mel C- raked in a cool £4million which was shared between them, reports The Sun.

However despite wanting to hit the road again to celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2021, the singers have had to hit pause on any shows because of the pandemic.

It is likely that the band would have made a similar amount to the £4million they earned performing two years ago if they had been able to take to the stage again.

And according to the publication, the singers’ company, Spice Girls Ltd, has also taken a hit during the pandemic with funds being depleted.

In accountants filed to Companies House the business’ trading arm has a bottom line of £436,432.

While the records for 2019, the year in which the band reunited and toured, had assets and cash of £4.47million.

MailOnline has contacted the Spice Girls representative for further comment.

The Spice Girls (minus Victoria Beckham) had been preparing to tour again to mark their 25th anniversary tour in 2021.

For months fans have been hoping that The Spice Girls could reunite and in January Mel B said they would get back together ‘as soon as the rules will allow it.’

‘People need a bit of entertainment. Music brings people together. I would love it – as soon as the rules allow it, then yeah,’ she said, as reports The Mirror.

She went on: ‘Until the virus gets under control I don’t think anyone can securely say “I’m definitely going on tour”.

‘When it comes to putting on a show or concert, I don’t know how people are going to do it without the proper guidelines and information, because things change on a weekly basis.

‘Us lot are definitely up for it – it’s just a case of timings and safety. I’m always itching to get back on to the stage.’

It comes after it was claimed that Geri Horner has reportedly made a whopping £3.5 million in just two years.

The 48-year-old singer’s healthy profit comes despite the Spice Girls having had to cancel their reunion tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s said that a mixture of business profits combined with investments has increased Geri’s wealth considerably, with Geri also still receiving royalties from being in the girl band, according to The Sun.

Geri is also said to have paid herself a tidy sum of £200,000 in dividends (equating to £547 a day), while she also purchased stocks and shares worth £647,000.

The company remained financially stable with £3,070,247, of which £2,495,124 of the figure was in cash.

The figures mark the second healthy year in a row of profit for the company, with figures from 2019 showing it made an impressive £3,356,703.

At the time, the Look At Me hitmaker paid herself £212,500 in dividends.

MailOnline contacted a representative of Geri who declined to comment.
