World renowned director Steven Spielberg was glimpsed for the first time on the set of his semi-autobiographical movie The Fabelmans on Thursday, July 22.
The 74-year-old Hollywood heavyweight shot a few scenes for the upcoming film on the beach in Malibu, California with cast members Gabriel LaBelle, Sam Rechner (Ruby’s Choice), and Chloe East (Genera+ion) among others.
The movie — which is loosely based on his childhood in the fifties and sixties — also stars Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen and Paul Dano.

The three-time Oscar winner was seen masked up on the sand while wearing jeans and a white T-shirt underneath a button down and vest.
His silver hair was tucked underneath a grey baseball cap and he wore sunglasses while clasping his phone in hand.
The JAWS director was seen chatting to what appeared to be Gabriel LaBelle who was tapped to play a young Steven following a lengthy casting process.
LaBelle donned khaki pants and a pink striped button down and was later glimpsed holding a film camera during the beach scene.
Classmates: Rechner was seen wearing tiny red swim shorts as he along with other up and coming actors were tapped to play the aspiring filmmakers classmates
Retro: The budding cast was seen wearing retro swimwear as they filmed a few scenes by the shoreline
Full production: LaBelle was seen holding a film camera as he steps into the role of the aspiring filmmaker
Rechner, 19, was seen wearing retro burgundy swim shorts while East, 20, was glimpsed in a peach sundress as they all filmed by the shoreline amongst production personnel.
Both are set to play high school classmates of the aspiring director along with Goldfinch actor Oakes Fegley and newcomer Isabelle Kusman. Julia Butters (Once Upon A Time In Hollywood) is also part of the ensemble cast.
Williams and Dano will play Spielberg’s parents Arnold Spielberg and Leah Adler — with an original voice — and Rogen was tapped to play his favorite uncle.
Steven also has three sisters Nancy, Anne, and Sue but casting for those parts have yet to be revealed.
The E.T. director had a very colorful childhood. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but was raised between Haddon Township, New Jersey and Scottsdale, Arizona.

He spent three years attending Arcadia High School before moving to California with his dad after his parents divorced and he graduated from Saratoga High School.
Pursuing his dreams of a career in movies, he applied to the USC film school twice but was never accepted. He attended Cal State University, Long Beach and began his career as an unpaid intern at Universal Studios.
The six-time Golden Globe winner was eventually awarded an honorary degree from USC in 1994, and 35 years after he began his college career he graduated with a B.A. in Film Production and Electronic Arts with an option in Film/Video Production in 2002.
In total he has won four oscars: Best Director and Best Picture for Schindler’s List (1994), Best Director for Saving Private Ryan (1999) and and the Irving G. Thalberg honorary award (1987). He has been nominated a total of 17 times.
