Other highlights during the tour include The Arboretum that was created at Highgrove nearly 30 years ago featuring one of Prince Charles’ favorites, magnolias.
The Sundial Garden is also notable as being the first garden created by the Duke of Cornwall when he bought his Gloucestershire home.
With the design mostly remaining the same throughout its history, the stand out attraction here is the stone sundial that was a wedding present to Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Prince’s Trust charity launching, 40,000 snowdrops were planted alongside other brightly coloured flowers to attract bees for pollination.
The New Cottage Garden blends old and new English gardening styles, with a noticeable yellow, pink and blue theme and black mulberry trees.
After learning about the history and design inspirations visitors can dine in the pretty surroundings of the Orchard Tea Room.
