The Bachelor: Holly Kingston says dates with Jimmy Nicholson have gone downhill

They were whisked off on many romantic dates during their courtship on The Bachelor.

But it’s back to reality for Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston, whose dating life is no longer quite so extravagant now the cameras have stopped rolling.

Holly, a 27-year-old marketing manager from Bondi, revealed on Instagram on Tuesday the couple had spent the day shopping – and dining – at Ikea.

She shared a video of the pair dining at the store’s cafeteria, and wrote: ‘To say the caliber of dates has gone down hill since Bach would be an understatement.’

‘Uluru [over] free soft drink refills,’ she added, referencing the season finale of The Bachelor, which was filmed in the Northern Territory. 

Holly’s funny post comes after the Bachelor couple announced last month they’d just settled into their new apartment in North Bondi.

According to realestate.com.au, the 32-year-old pilot paid $1.42million for the two-bedroom, one-bathroom flat.

However, the website claims Holly ‘is not in on the deal’, which suggests Jimmy bought the home himself and she is simply living with him. 

After his purchase, Jimmy shared a loved-up photo to Instagram of the pair outside the property as he held a bottle of Dom Pérignon champagne.
