Season 17 of The Block is drawing to a close after plenty of blood, sweat and tears on the Bronte Court building site.

The teams excitedly come out of their homes and skip down the street to the sound of host Scott Cam’s whistle.

The contestants put their differences aside as they congratulate and hug each other after completing their renovations.

‘You have finished The Block,’ Scott declares as they cheer and jump for joy.

The judges then marvel at the completed homes in the transformed cul-de-sac.

‘It’s a beautiful cul-de-sac… it’s the ultimate reveal,’ judge Darren Palmer says as he walks down the street with Shaynna Blaze and Neale Whitaker.

Shaynna calls one of the front yards ‘an absolute knockout’ and Neale agrees, saying the house in question is ‘the best The Block has ever delivered’.

The trailer ends by teasing an auction-day bombshell when the identity of the Blockhead who took the infamous whiteboard photo will be revealed.

The scandal unfolded in the early weeks of the show when veterans Ronnie and Georgia Caceres told producers that Josh and Luke Packham had obtained a photo of the production schedule, which had been on a whiteboard in Scott Cam’s office.

Anyone who saw the schedule would have had the advantage of being able to plan their specifications weeks in advance or pre-order something for a specific room.

Tanya Guccione later confessed she had sent the photo to the Packhams after it had been sent to her by an ‘anonymous tradie’.

Scott previously said of the scandal: ‘I was very disappointed, and I was angry to be quite frank with you.’

He was particularly upset because the cheating impacted the ‘build of The Block’ and the ‘integrity’ of the competition.

‘It affected the integrity of it and I think jeopardised this season,’ he told Who magazine.

The Block continues on Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine
