The Block losers Ronnie and Georgia take a BRUTAL parting shot at cheaters Tanya and Vito after their devastating auction day result despite being ‘strong contenders’ before the finale

The Block stars Ronnie and Georgia Caceres have broken their silence after placing last during Sunday night’s season finale.

The Perth couple had been ‘strong contenders’ heading into auction day and even chose to go first in the auction order, but ended up making the least amount of money when their sophisticated four-bedroom home sold for $3,696,000.

The Cacereses shared a lengthy Instagram post after the episode aired in which they expressed mixed feelings about the result – and also threw shade at some of their two-faced rivals.

While they said their profit of $296,000 was ‘fabulous financial outcome for our family’, they acknowledged placing last was a crushing disappointment.

They also couldn’t resist taking a parting shot at the teams who’d gained an unfair advantage by cheating, Tanya and Vito Guccione and the Packham twins.

They boasted of the fact they’d played ‘an honest and fair game’ throughout, despite finding themselves at a disadvantage by having a corner home on the smallest parcel of land.

Ronnie and Georgia also graciously congratulated winners Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie, who secured an upset victory over bookies’ favourites Kirsty Lee Akers and Hesse Anderson.

‘Our The Block journey might not have ended the way we planned but it’s still such a fabulous financial outcome for our family,’ they said.

‘We hold our heads high knowing we left nothing in the tank, did the best we could whilst playing an honest and fair game.

‘Being on the smallest parcel of land and positioned on a corner were factors out of our control.’

The pair continued: ‘Thank you to our amazing family of builders, in particular SJ Carpentry Services and Chippie Timber who built a seriously sensational home.

‘To our families back in Perth who selflessly allowed us to tap out for three months, we are forever grateful. David Wood and Jenny Dwyer at Belle Property, thank you for being consummate professionals; it’s been a pleasure having you in our corner.

‘Congratulations to our friends Mitch and Mark on your massive win. Finally, to our amazing Block fans, thank you so much for your continued support, we love you!

‘Stay tuned folks, so many exciting things happening in 2022 – it’s going to be big!’
