‘You’re trying to find energy to fight’: The Block’s Luke and Josh Packham admit they’re struggling in the wake of THAT cheating scandal as they label their time on the show ‘a nightmare’

Luke and Josh Packham made an emotional appearance on Wednesday’s episode of The Block.

The 26-year-old twins admitted they were struggling in the wake of their recent cheating scandal, in which they obtained a highly confidential production schedule and top secret information about upcoming challenges.

After being forced to remove the walls from their outdoor bathroom, it proved to be the final straw for the brothers.

‘I was very shattered. I was very upset,’ confessed Luke after being told their walls had been installed illegally.

He added that he and Josh are struggling after a series of issues and setbacks on the hit Channel Nine renovation show.

‘We’re young, we don’t have experience at this stuff. So when it’s week after week of the same things happening and you’re trying to fight your way out of the hole, you get tired. You’re trying to find energy to fight,’ he said.

Luke then added: ‘I think it’s just a mountain of issues that we’re constantly facing… It’s a nightmare.’

In what was arguably one of the biggest scandals The Block has ever seen, Josh and Luke were last month accused of trying to obtain secret information that would put them at an advantage on the highly competitive series.

Speaking of the scandal at the time, host Scott Cam said he’d ‘never seen anything like this in any of the TV shows I have worked on over the years’.

'I was utterly shocked, disappointed and extremely annoyed - this scandal made it very unfair for everyone. It also affected something I love very much, and that is the build of The Block,' Scott Cam (right) said in a statement after the cheating scandal

Scott again slammed the twins during an explosive interview with Nova FM’s Fitzy & Wippa earlier this month.

‘To have someone cheat and get an advantage to me is un-Australian, no good and it needs to be weeded out, and I’d like it to be 1965 or something like that and we could go old school on them,’ he told the radio show.
