    The Block’s multi-millionaire bidder Danny Wallis spends six million Qantas frequent flyer points on a flight-simulator experience and a charter plane for a winery trip

    Danny Wallis famously bid on all five houses on last year’s season of The Block.

    And the IT entrepreneur has now splashed out on some amazing money-can’t-buy experiences, The Australian reported on Tuesday.

    Eccentric Danny spent more than six million Qantas frequent flyer points at auction.

    The Melbourne rich-lister bid 1.2 million points on a Boeing 787 simulator session with a Qantas captain.

    He also bid 4.84 million points on a private charter flight on a QantasLink Dash 8, which he plans to use for a trip to a winery in Tasmania with 30 friends.

    Danny told the publication he normally uses his frequent flyer points to upgrade his family to first class on their annual holiday to Europe.

    ‘But with international travel off the cards at the moment, the Points Auction was a fantastic way to break the monotony of lockdowns and give us an experience to look forward to,’ he explained. 

    This isn’t the first time Danny has spent big at an auction, as fans of The Block would know.

    Last year he spent $12million on three of the five properties on auction day.

    He purchased Sarah and George’s property for $4,000,002, and Harry and Tash’s house for $4million.

    In 2019, he also placed bids on all five properties on offer at The Oslo, walking away with Mitch and Mark’s renovated terrace for $3.374million.

    Danny sold his IT company DWS Group last year to India’s HCL Technologies for $126million.
