He was teased as a mystery ‘politician’ ahead of his appearance on this year’s season of Survivor, and George Mladenov had the Labor Party worried.

According to a report by The Australian last month, the teaser trailer for the hit reality show raised plenty of questions within the opposition party.

‘You’ve got to be willing to pull people’s strings as a faceless man in the Labor Party, that’s what I’ll be doing on Survivor,’ he said.

As reported by The Australian ‘tongues were wagging in secure messaging apps across the country’ as those within the Labor Party scrambled to identify him.

But despite initially being billed as a ‘politician’, George is now being described as a ‘public servant’ by the long-running Network 10 show.

Later versions of the teaser changed George’s job title from ‘politician’ to ‘political operative’.
