The Princess of Wales is said to have planned a move to California – known as the Golden State – before her tragic death in 1997. Stewart Pearce provided Lady Diana with vocal lessons between 1995 and 1997.

The London-born oral expert claimed: “This was the future of Diana.

“She was talking about buying a house in Malibu overlooking the Pacific.

“So it’s really interesting that Harry and Meghan have chosen to go.

“To just, you know, above Santa Barbara, because that was the area that Diana was thinking about, she was – they’re all very sports, you see.”

Pearce, who released his book Diana: The Voice of Change in January 2020, will appear on the American news network PBS this weekend to talk about the life of Lady Diana.

PBS’s In Their Own Words Diana programme will air on Sunday, August 8.

Harry and Meghan moved into the mansion in Santa Barbara following the outbreak of the coronavirus in 2020.

Their £11.2million home is located just 66 miles away from where Pearce claimed Diana had intended on moving to.

The Princess of Wales tragically died in August 1997 after being involved in a car crash in Paris.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Fergie also said her only advice to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was for them to “be happy”.

Prince Andrew’s ex-wife has otherwise been rather coy when asked by journalists about ongoing events from inside the Royal Family.
