This is not the first time somebody close to the 2019 Masters champion has given a glowing report on his hardworking recovery, after close friend and former Ryder Cup teammate Rickie Fowler praised Woods’ work ethic in rehab this summer.

Speaking at the 3M Open in August Fowler said: “I know he’s been getting after it as far as rehab goes, that takes up most of his day.

“I know as kind of stubborn as he is, being as big of a golf nerd as all of us are, he’s putting the work in. I know it’s been tough. It’s a long road till now, he’s got a long road ahead, but he’s putting the work in.”

In addition to his drive to get back out onto the golf course, People also revealed that another key driving factor in his remarkable recovery has been the inspiration of his son Charlie, 12 and daughter Sam, 14.
