What restrictions will remain in place?
Despite the limit being removed, capacity limits will be enforced by venues.
Limits will be set to the highest number of people venues can accommodate in a Covid-secure way, this approach is already applied to funerals.
For weddings on private property, including in gardens, a risk assessment will need to be filled out by organisers to ensure they are conducted in a Covid-secure manner.
Bizarrely other restrictions on weddings – including bans on most singing and dancing, and guests having to wear masks at certain points – will remain in place until step four.
