What Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Manchester United chiefs about Jadon Sancho transfer

Solskjaer reckons that would be enough to enable his side to compete with the likes of City, Liverpool and newly-crowned Champions League winners Chelsea.

Speaking after the midweek defeat to Villarreal, Solskjaer insisted his team were heading down the right path.

“We are getting closer and closer [to winning titles] we were one kick away today from having a trophy,” Solskjaer told BT Sport.

“But we’ve got to have the desire to come back next year and improve.

“The only way to get the margins on your side is to work harder and better.”
