What time are Premier League fixtures released? Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal await schedule

Premier League clubs will learn their 2021-22 campaign schedules on Wednesday with their fixtures set to be released. The upcoming top-flight season will be much more normal than the last, with bosses such as Manchester United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer breathing a sigh of relief following a congested 2020-21.

Solskjaer often led complaints about a gruelling schedule. Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp blamed the condensed fixtures for his side’s devastating injury crisis.

The Reds remarkably finished third despite their issues. A late push saw them climb into the Champions League qualification places with a 10-match unbeaten run.

The last term began in September, a month later than usual. That was because the 2019-20 Premier League season finished in July after being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Some of the clubs who played in European competitions that season even culminated their campaigns as late as August.

The upcoming campaign is scheduled to begin on August 14 and will finish on May 22.

Another successful season under Guardiola also saw them lift the Carabao Cup.

The Spaniard praised his team for winning the league amid challenging circumstances.

“This has been a season and a Premier League title like no other,” the 50-year-old said in May.

“This was the hardest one. We will always remember this season for the way that we won.

“I am so proud to be the manager here and of this group of players.

“It is relentless. Every single day, they are there, fighting for success, trying always to be better. They have been so, so resilient.

“That is equally true of each and every member of our backroom staff, who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that our players are fully equipped to take on the unexpected challenges and new routines throughout such a turbulent year.”

All Premier League fixtures are subject to change.
