‘Where is my post?’: Royal Mail shares delivery update – full list of affected postcodes

    Royal Mail will often keep customers updated about any possible delays. The company has shared a list of postcodes which are likely to experience delays this week due to “resourcing issues”. 

    Due to a spike in demand throughout the pandemic, as well as a shortage in members of staff, some areas around the UK are seeing delays.elays.

    Royal Mail said: “Due to resourcing issues, associated self-isolation and safety measures, deliveries in some areas may be disrupted this week.

    “We aim to deliver at least every other day in these areas, though this may not always be possible in offices temporarily affected by very high levels of absences.

    “These offices are exceptions.”

    It added an apology for anyone affected by the delays.

    Royal Mail said: “We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding.

    “We’re working hard to deliver as comprehensive a service as possible with the resources available. And we’re ensuring we prioritise the delivery of Covid-19 vaccination letters and test kits.”

    Customers have also taken to social media to share their thoughts on the delays.

    It said: “If you need to collect an item for which we’ve left a ‘Something for you’ card, please check royalmail.com/services-near-you for details for our revised Customer Service Point opening hours.

    “If we’ve not left you a ‘Something for you card’, and you do not have alternative arrangements in place, we’re sorry that your mail will not be available for collection.”

    In other news, Britons have been warned about Royal Mail scams that continue to circulate via text and email.

    One scam asks customers to pay an outstanding delivery fee in order for a parcel to be delivered. 

    The text message includes a link, taking customers to an external link posing to be Royal Mail.

    Royal Mail has said it would never send texts asking Britons to pay an outstanding fee unless they specifically opted in for this service.
