Gillian Anderson looked stunning in the first pictures from the upcoming second season of Hulu series The Great.
The actress, 53, wore a beautiful gown covered in flowers while filming the period piece. She wore a matching hat in one of the images.
Her hair, a platinum blonde nearly silver color, was put up in a large wig and donned a pair of expensive looking earrings.

The X-Files star will play Catherine the Great’s mother Johanna in the critically-acclaimed Hulu series.
The first season of the show centered around the ascent of Catherine, played by Elle Fanning, to the throne of Russia.
Nicholas Hoult of X-Men: First Class fame and Iron Fist actor Sacha Dhawan also appeared in the first season of the show that was nominated for two Emmys and two Screen Actors Guild awards.

The star will play Eleanor Roosevelt in the upcoming television series The First Lady and Vivienne in White Bird: A Wonder Story which will center on a family that hides a Jewish girl in Nazi-occupied France.
