Lidl is launching its very own range of Japanese-inspired sweet treats after they caught the attention of more than 500 million viewers on TikTok since the beginning of the year. The discount supermarket is launching various different flavours into stores including mango, vanilla, chocolate and coconut.

One person said: “Other than the shape of them, they look like Little Moon dupes for a cheaper price!”

Another wrote: “How exciting, I haven’t been able to get hold of any mochi yet.”

“These look fab for the warm weather,” said a third.

Rival supermarket Aldi also recently launched its own range of mochi ice cream, with indulgent flavours like tropical, mango and coconut.

“Omg Little Moon replicas, maybe I will actually be able to find this,” a third commented.

In other Lidl news, customers can make huge savings when they download the Lidl Plus app.

The app was first launched last year and gives weekly discounts on products for customers.

Those visiting can simply download it to their phone and scan it at the checkout.

This week customers can save 20 percent on frozen foods as well as 15 percent on Deluxe yoghurts and 15 percent on Fin Carré chocolate.
