Kacey Musgraves simply stuns in a chic black mini skirt paired with an oversized coat in New York

She recently topped the charts with the release of her fifth studio album, nearly three years after the critically acclaimed success of her Golden Hour catalog.

And Kacey Musgraves simply stunned for an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday in Manhattan.

The 33-year-old country crooner looked every-inch seasonally chic as she stepped out wearing an oversized coat with a black mini skirt in New York City.

The Texas-born beauty flashed her tanned and toned legs in a darling skirt hemmed just across her thighs.

She teamed her taffeta skirt with a classic white button-down blouse, and stayed warm underneath a heavy brown jacket with blue accent embroidery.

Staying on trend, she pounded the pavement wearing chunky black patent leather combat boots, and wore a black beanie to match.

Her long brown hair was worn stick-straight, and she showed off her flawless complexion with classic glam highlight her already stunning features.

Kacey released star-crossed earlier this month through Interscope Records, which immediately debuted at No. 1 on the US Top Country Albums chart.

The album focuses on her trials and tribulations following the end of her marriage to musician Ruston Kelly.

Kacey separated from her ex-husband in July 2020, with a divorce finalized in September.

She told Elle earlier this year: ‘I felt, in many ways, on top of the world in my career, but in my personal life, I felt like I was dying inside. I was crumbling. I was sad. I felt lonely. I felt broken.’

Musgraves and Ruston, 32, first met in 2016 while working on songwriting together at the iconic Bluebird Cafe, but their burgeoning romance proved to be even more inspirational through the sounds of her acclaimed 2018 album Golden Hours.

She’s since found love again in the arms of Cole Schafer, a creative writer and founder of copywriting agency Honey Copy.  

Kacey and Cole, who moonlights as a poet named January Black, have each made a place on each other’s social media grids after spending the summer falling in love.
