Manchester horror: Man stabbed in head in daylight attack – police launch hunt

    Police were called to Yew Tree Road, in Moss Side, at 10.15am this morning, where they found the injured man. A large cordon has been put in place and an air ambulance was seen landing nearby. The man has been taken to hospital and is said to be in a critical condition. 

    Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: “Officers were called by colleagues at NWAS around 10.15am today (Monday 24 May) to a report of an injured male on Yew Tree Road, Manchester.

    “Officers attended and enquiries established a man in his 20s had been stabbed in the head.

    “He has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.

    “No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”
