Actress Rachel Weisz was pictured on the set of the upcoming Amazon series Dead Ringers in New York City.

The Constant Gardener star, 51, braved a torrential downpour which looked to be created by production, while filming an emotional scene.

Dead Ringers the series is a re-imagining of the 1988 cult thriller and will mark Weisz’s first leading role in a television series.

A drenched Weisz was seen in a green slicker and black pants with white sneakers outside of a church in downtown Manhattan.

Looking forlorn for the scene, she ran her hands along the gate while walking with her head down.

Extras with umbrellas were pictured behind her to give the impression that it was storming in NYC.

The wife of Daniel Craig was seen re-setting in between a few takes at which point the rain would stop.

Production on Dead Ringers has been going for a few months and is expected to wrap in December.

The project has been given a code name ‘Larry’s Diner’ on a few film notices spotted around the city.

In the re-imagining the identical twins are brilliant OB-gyns on a mission to change the way women birth using unethical medical means and illegal research.

In their personal lives the twins take advantage of their identical nature and share everything including lovers, and generally push the boundaries on all aspects of life.

The idea for the re-imagining came directly from Weisz who then teamed up with Normal People writer Alice Birch for an Annapurna production.
