AFL star Fraser Brown splashes out a whopping $8.25m on a stunning oceanfront home in Port Douglas

    Former AFL star Fraser Brown is living the tropical dream.

    According to The Herald Sun, the retired Carlton player, 50, recently purchased a stunning oceanfront home in Port Douglas for $8.25million.

    The mansion was purchased in December through the Fraser Brown Group, whose sole shareholder is the sportsman’s wife, Christine Brown.

    The previous owner was local property developer John Morris, 93.

    The sprawling property, which boasts 360-degree ocean views, has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, a two-car garage and a resort-style pool. 

    There is also a clifftop garden featuring palm trees that overlooks the water.

    Fraser meanwhile, is known for his incredible footy career, playing for Carlton for 12 seasons. 

    He retired from the game in 2000.

    Another high-profile home owner in the area is KIIS FM star Kyle Sandilands, 50.

    While no sale price has been disclosed, the house was listed for $1.3million and it’s believed Kyle, 49, paid about that figure, reported The Cairns Post.

    The home is an entertainer’s dream for Kyle and his girlfriend, Tegan Kynaston, and features a blue-tiled infinity pool which looks out to the hinterland.

    Port Douglas is known for its exquisite beaches and proximity to the Great Barrier Reef, and is also near to Daintree National Park.

    The town itself, which is a one-hour drive north from Cairns, is filled with boutique shops and restaurants and is popular with tourists and backpackers.

    It’s another home to add to Kyle’s property portfolio, which includes a farm in the NSW Southern Highlands.

    He also owns a $5million mansion in Los Angeles.
