A 6.5 magnitude quake struck the Alaska Peninsula on Monday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said. It centred around 70 miles (114km) east of the city of Chignik. Tremors from the quake also reached a depth of 46 miles (75km).
There is no threat of a Tsunami, the US Tsunami Warning Centre said.
The incident comes hours after Hawaii was struck by a quake measuring 6.2 on the Richter Scale.
