Andy Murray faces new unknown after crashing out of Wimbledon against Denis Shapovalov

Murray has repeatedly stated that he has the self belief to battle against the world’s best players.

He has recorded impressive wins over Alexander Zverev and Frances Tiafoe in the past year, but it’s at Grand Slam events where Murray still wants to make an impact.

Shapovalov plays a high-rish game as he opts to go for the spectacular winner and Murray of old may well have picked the Canadian apart with his skillset and tenacity.

The former British No 1 certainly hasn’t lost his attitude on the court, but it’s clear that he is still some way from rediscovering his best form.
