‘And to have someone cheat and get an advantage to me is un-Australian, no good and it needs to be weeded out, and I’d like it to be 1965 or something like that and we could go old school on them or something like that.’

In what is shaping up to be one of the biggest scandals The Block has ever seen, Josh and Luke, both 26, were accused of trying to obtain secret information about upcoming challenges on the show.

Scott was then asked about the twins’ comments that he’d ‘gone easy on some people’ amid claims they weren’t the only ones caught up in the scandal.

‘Those boys are absolutely kidding themselves. I’m scrambling to save this series, that’s what I’m doing because people at home will be going this whole thing is not fair, this whole thing is a joke,’ he continued.

‘So I’m scrambling to save my show because of what they have done! He’s referring to Ronnie and Georgia, he’s got to be joking.

‘The boys had the photo, they knew all along what the schedule was, the ball was in their court, certainly not mine and for them to say that s**ts me up the wall!’

Scott also argued that he believed Ronnie and Georgia when they called out the twins, describing the couple as ‘straight shooters’.

During an interview on Monday’s Today show, Josh and Luke refused to deny they were involved in the cheating plot, and hinted there was more to the story.

‘When you dangle a carrot in front of a horse, they are probably going to take a bite,’ the brothers laughed.

They also suggested there were multiple teams involved, despite them being at the centre of it.

‘Look, we definitely have a role to play in that, but it’s just interesting who’s pointing the fingers because there is more guilty parties to come,’ Josh said cryptically.

‘People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. We don’t know what’s going to be shown over the next week, but there’s willing participants, and all I will say is that we definitely didn’t have an advantage over Ronnie and Georgia,’ added Luke.

Speaking of the scandal, The Block host Scott Cam said he’d ‘never seen anything like this in any of the TV shows I have worked on over the years’.

‘I was utterly shocked, disappointed and extremely annoyed – this scandal made it very unfair for everyone. It also affected something I love very much, and that is the build of The Block,’ the 58-year-old said in a statement.
