Arsenal's three Ben White transfer alternatives if Everton or Man City hijack £50m deal

    Sergio Ramos

The veteran Spaniard recently announced his departure from Real Madrid after an immense 16 years with the club.

Ramos leaves as the fourth-highest appearance maker in their history, flaunting a legendary career which has sparked plenty of interest about where he will go next.

Bayern Munich, City and PSG have all been mentioned, although Arsenal may fancy themselves as enticing latecomers if they ramp up their interest in the 35-year-old.

With no European football on offer at the Emirates, Ramos would have to see something in Mikel Arteta’s project to commit to them over the other interested parties.

However, if they could convince him to sign, he would certainly be one of their most important players next season, while there is undoubtedly enough competitive spirit in the hot-headed defender to make him a mouth-watering addition to the squad.
