The cast is led by Olivia Colman and Dakota Johnson and the movie tells the gripping story of Olivia’s character Leda.
A college professor on a summer holiday at the seaside, she becomes obsessed with Nina (Dakota) and her young daughter as she watches them play on the beach.
Leda is reminded of the terror and confusion she felt in early motherhood as she watches the mother-daughter duo, as well as their extended family.
Reminded of the unconventional choices she made for her own daughter, Leda begins to unravel and becomes a prisoner of her own mind, unable to explain what’s happened.
