    They have been married for six years after tying the knot in a stunning surprise ceremony in the Blue Mountains.

    And the romance is well and truly alive in Buddy and Jesinta Franklin’s marriage.

    The Sydney Swans star surprised his wife on Wednesday night by bringing home some stunning cherry blossoms.

    Jesinta excitedly posted a cute photo of Buddy hiding behind the gorgeous bouquet on her Instagram page. 

    Jesinta and Buddy are set to celebrate their wedding anniversary on November 7.

    Earlier this year, Buddy got frank as he discussed the couple’s marriage and being a father to their two children.   

    Discussing what he loves most about fatherhood, the talented sportsman told Daily Mail Australia: ‘I love everything about being a dad. But the evolution in my relationship with Jes from being a couple to a family is really special and rewarding, too.’

    Praising Jesinta as an ‘incredible mum’ to Rocky, six months, and Tullulah, one, Buddy said: ‘Jes is one of the most loving and caring people I know.

    ‘I’m lucky to have such a great partner to share this journey with.’

    Meanwhile, when quizzed on the secret to a happy marriage, the AFL star replied with a refreshingly honest response.

    ‘I’m not sure there is a secret… every relationship has its hurdles, and we all react differently to situations so it’s important to talk things through and keep an open mind,’ he said. 

    ‘Having such busy schedules, it’s also important to us to set aside time as a couple, and as a family.’

    And while Buddy may not be planning to have any more children in the immediate future, he’s still keeping his options open.

    ‘I would like to remain in the footy sphere, I love the game and the people within it,’ he said.
