Caitlyn on Tuesday was panned on Twitter earlier this week after posting a message in support of Pride Month, less than a month after she told TMZ she didn’t believe trans girls should be allowed to compete in girls’ athletic competitions.

She said at the time, ‘I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls’ sports in school; it just isn’t fair. And we have to protect girls’ sports in our schools.’

On Tuesday, Jenner tweeted, ‘As we celebrate #Pride2021 in June, let’s honor those who have fought for LGBTQ rights but also be reminded of the challenges we must still overcome.’

She added, ‘We must continue to empower those in the community and fight against all forms of discrimination.’

She received a number of responses criticizing her earlier take, as one user wrote, ‘Trans people should be able to play sports as who they identify as. Shame on you for not speaking out on this.’

Another user said, ‘As you try and discriminate against our LBGTQ youth and ban them from sports – shame on you!’

In a statement she issued, Jenner said she was focused on issues such as boosting the economy, tax breaks and a position against the state’s left-leaning policies, touting herself as ‘the only potential candidate ‘who can put an end to Gavin Newsom’s disastrous time as governor.’

Lahren, 28, previously pledged her support for Jenner’s campaign last month in an Instagram post in which she’s ‘in her corner’ after initial skepticism of ‘Jenner’s ability to run the state.’

The conservative commentator said that ‘after hearing her platform of FREEDOM above everything,’ she pledged her support for the former Keeping Up with the Kardashians personality.
